Isle of Man TT 2026: Who is racing in each class? Seeded riders

With this year’s Isle of Man TT rapidly approaching, organisers have confirmed the starting orders for each race.
The seeded riders for every event have been revealed, naming the top 20 starters - or 10 for sidecars - and featuring some famous names including all-time wins leader Michael Dunlop and long-time TT legend John McGuinness.
This year’s TT will take place from May 25 to June 6, with one practice and six qualifying sessions during the first week, before six days of racing between May 30 and June 6.
1000cc - Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT

The big bikes are once again the biggest draw of race week, with the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT making up six of the 10 race.
Across the Superbike, Superstock and Senior classes, the top 20 seeded riders are identical.
For the third consecutive year, 23-time TT race winner John McGuinness will lead the field along Glencrutchery Road. This year marks the 30th anniversary of his first TT, with his start tally now at 114.
Notable entries include five-time race winner Dean Harrison at number three and 14-time winner Peter Hickman at number 10.
The most successful rider of all time, Michael Dunlop, will start in his traditional sixth place. This year, he is set to make a switch to Ducati machinery - though he took part in May’s North West 200 on a Honda due to a lack of preparation time.
For the first time since 2019, James Hillier won’t be lining up at number five, his vast experience and knowledge instead being utilised by the new Isle of Man film being produced during this year’s event.
Davey Todd is set to start in eighth as he hopes to make a return to racing after breaking his tibia and fibula at the Daytona 200 in the USA in March.
The 2024 Senior winner was ruled out of the NW200 after failing his medical assessment for the race, but will be hoping to get back on the roads in two weeks’ time.

Sportbike

The Supertwin class has been revamped for 2026, allowing Sportbike specification machines to compete alongside the traditional Supertwin machines.
Current TT Supertwin machines - such as the Paton S1-R, Aprilia RS660, Kawasaki Z650 and Yamaha R7 - will remain eligible to compete. They will now be joined by the Triumph Daytona 660 and Suzuki GSX8R.
Michael Dunlop will be the rider to beat, having won five of the last six Supertwin races on his Paton. Podium finishers Mike Brown and Jamie Coward will be among his challengers.
The number five spot will be left empty after Adam McLean was forced to withdraw due to recent surgery.
Instead, his Flitwick Motorcycles/SMV Yamaha will be ridden by Michael Evans with the number three plate. Evans should have taken his first podium at last year's event, finishing second in the first Supertwin race, but was later disqualified on technical grounds.

Sidecar

Unlike the solo classes, there are no seeds in the Sidecars, and the starting order will be determined by qualifying position.
The fastest driver and passenger pairing during qualifying will be first to leave the line in both races, followed by the second and third quickest, and so on.
Last year’s double race winners Ryan and Callum Crowe will carry the number one plate, having won the last four races held.
Seven-time podium finishers Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley are number two on the road, ahead of Ben Birchall and new passenger Mark Wilkes.
