Silverstone unveils trackside pool for the British GP

One hospitality brand is looking to make a splash at this year’s British Grand Prix.
The Pop-Up Hotel will introduce a trackside swimming pool as a part of an expanded Formula 1 hospitality offering at Silverstone this year.
The company, which is best known for their luxury accommodation experiences at Glastonbury Festival, will create a temporary hotel village inside the Silverstone circuit grounds for the F1 weekend, adding a swimming pool and swim-up bar overlooking the track for 2026.
The concept reflects the continued growth of premium hospitality and entertainment-focused experiences around Formula 1 events.
Located close to the paddock, The Pop-Up Hotel’s Silverstone site will include accommodation, restaurants, bars and live programming across the weekend. Guests will be able to watch on-track action from the pool area while remaining within the circuit complex.
The company’s 2025 Silverstone debut attracted guests including Lando Norris, Isack Hadjar and Jenson Button. In 2026, 1992 Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell will stay on-site during the weekend and take part in several live events.
“The Pop-Up Hotel is bringing something genuinely different to Silverstone, and I’m really looking forward to staying there this year,” Mansell said.
“To have that level of comfort and hospitality right inside the circuit, with great food, a relaxed atmosphere and everything taken care of, makes a huge difference across a race weekend.”
The Silverstone programme will include a live recording of The Fast and the Curious podcast with Greg James, Betty Glover and Christian Hewgill, alongside appearances from Mansell and former F1 driver Johnny Herbert - co-host of The Race's Stay on Track podcast.
The Pop-Up Hotel founder Mark Sorrill said Formula 1’s continued commercial growth had created opportunities for new forms of race-weekend hospitality.
“Formula 1 is evolving rapidly, and we see a huge opportunity to contribute to that shift,” he said.
“What we’re building at Silverstone isn’t just somewhere to stay, it’s a fully immersive experience.”
For the cheapest offering, fans staying with the Pop-Up Hotel will be looking to spend £3799 for two people, for four nights across the weekend.
Although general admission GP tickets are not included, the price is inclusive of hospitality parking (plus chauffeur service from the car park), 24-hour reception, concierge, private security, premium bathroom facilities and access to trackside dining.
