Hot Wheels launches competition to find 'tiniest team principal'

Young Formula 1 fans are being given the chance to become Hot Wheels's first 'Tiniest Team Principal'.
The Mattel toy brand has launched the competition, giving young F1 fans in the United Kingdom, United States and Mexico the opportunity to become an ambassador for Hot Wheels.
The three winning children and their families will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to their home country's grand prix in 2026, behind-the-scenes access to F1 and Hot Wheels, custom race gear, the full Hot Wheels F1 product line, and the opportunity to fly out to Hot Wheels headquarters in California to collaborate with designers on their own one-of-a-kind Hot Wheels F1 car.

To enter the competition, parents or legal guardians of children aged five to ten are to submit a video entry showcasing why their child has what it takes.
Entries will be judged by a panel including president and CEO of F1 Stefano Domenicali, 2009 F1 champion Jenson Button, general manager and head of vehicles and building sets at Mattel Ted Wu and Hot Wheels designer Kristina Albrecht.
Wu said the company was looking for "someone who builds, rebuilds and takes on every challenge" and described the competition as a search for children with "strong opinions on what makes a car faster, cooler and more fun".
The Hot Wheels Tiniest Team Principal competition is open to parents or legal guardians of eligible children in the UK, US and Mexico between May 20 and June 16. Winners will be announced on June 23.
Full competition details are available on Mattel's official competition page.
