Release date and trailer for F1 25's 2026 overhaul revealed

EA Sports has announced the launch of F1 25: 2026 season pack - featuring updated regulations, new teams, and a new circuit as F1 enters a new era.
The downloadable expansion pack, arriving June 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, updates F1 25 to reflect the real-life 2026 F1 season's technical regulation changes and expanded grid.
EA says the pack incorporates the sport's new regulations, including lighter, smaller cars and active aerodynamics, which are designed to make handling more responsive for players using either controllers or racing wheels. A new 'overtake mode' is also being added, introducing additional strategic gameplay options and new assists aimed at creating closer racing.
Among the biggest additions are Audi and Cadillac, both making their debut as F1 teams in the game as the real-world championship expands to 11 teams. Players will also have updated driver rosters, including Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez with Cadillac.
Another notable addition is the debut of the Madring circuit in Madrid, marking the first new track added to the F1 game franchise since 2023. The hybrid street and purpose-built circuit will host the Spanish Grand Prix in September, but players will be able to race on it in-game ahead of the real-world event.
The game's My Team mode will also return, allowing players to create and manage a custom team as a 12th entrant on the grid.
Seven-time F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton, has partnered with EA Sports ahead of the release.
Speaking about the launch, Hamilton said: "Games are such an incredible way for fans to experience our sport. This year, we've entered a new era in Formula 1, with new regulations which have changed so much about the sport.
"The EA Sports team has done a great job bringing these changes to life in the F1 25: 2026 season pack, from the cars and power units to the new tracks like Madring.
"I can't wait for fans out there to get behind the wheel and experience this new season for themselves."
