On Monday, Josh White Racing announced that the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, is recognizing White for his historic standing in NASCAR history by displaying his United States Marine Corps. dress uniform in the Hall.
The 35-year-old native of West Virginia made his ARCA Menard’s Series debut in 2013 and has 22 starts in the series to date. In 2016, he started a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway, which gave him the distinguished honor of becoming the first Marine to race in NASCAR since 1966.
Additionally, he became the first 100% service-disabled U.S. Marine Corps. veteran to race in NASCAR.
“I’m just incredibly honored and humbled,” White told Kickin’ The Tires. “You don’t race cars to get in the Hall of Fame. It’s not even a thought! I just do what I love and enjoy helping other Veterans through motorsports.”

Enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009 as a Combat Engineer, he served in the 4th Combat Engineering Battalion and served honorably until was wounded and left service as a Lance Corporal in 2015. Now, the MHOFOA has proudly recognized White’s standing in motorsports history.
“I haven’t been [to the Hall] since my dress blues have been placed in the exhibit, but I definitely plan on making a trip soon,” he said. “It’s no longer a ‘go to Daytona to look around and maybe go to the beach’ trip. It’s to go to the HOF to see my uniform and the exhibit in the HOF museum. It is surreal.”
Alongside his racing career, White has been an advocate for military veterans and raising awareness of veteran suicide and mental health. This year, he launched the Veterans Motorsport Training Center, a ASE-certified automotive training school nonprofit that is in partnership with Warriors2Racers, The Veterans Trust among others.
“Racing has given us a way to keep those stories alive and to keep fighting for the men and women who still need support after coming home,” he said.
Sponsorships are still available for the No. 04 ARCA Menards Series car in 2026 and beyond, as well as his regional dirt program with the No. 76 Victory-X Financial and No. 5B Marblism dirt Modifieds.
