Korus Group Formed, Uniting Eight Italian Motorsport Organisations
A new motorsport organisation has been established, the Korus Group, which unites eight Italian companies that operate across the sport.
Korus Group is majority-owned by TEC Racing, a vehicle created within The Equity Club investment initiative. The group builds on the foundations laid between Tatuus Racing (a former CN prototype constructor), Autotecnica Motori (ATM, McLaren’s Hypercar engine supplier) and Breda Racing, which began collaborating in 2017–2018.
In 2024, YCOM (design engineering world leaders, ever-present in the WEC paddock with a variety of public and confidential projects) joined the network, followed by majority acquisitions in 2025 of Birel ART, IAME, Kart Republic, and Next Solution Technologies (an electronics supplier with a pedigree in sportscar racing).
Together, these brands bring decades of experience across racing disciplines to the group, creating what Korus describes as the world’s first industrial group capable of bridging the gap between karting and full-size race cars.
Based in Italy and employing more than 360 people, Korus Group can design, manufacture, and support nearly every element of a racing vehicle in-house — from chassis and engines to electronics and data systems. The companies operate independently but in close coordination under a cross-functional management structure spanning engineering, finance, business development, and communications.
Described by its founders as a “one-stop shop for performance,” the group will also extend its expertise beyond motorsport, exploring natural synergies with the automotive and mobility sectors.
At the heart of the project is a shared commitment to Italian craftsmanship, innovation, and engineering excellence — qualities that have long defined the individual companies now united under the Korus umbrella.
Giovanni Delfino, formerly CEO of Tatuus and now heading the new organisation, described the formation of Korus as “a historic moment for Italian motorsport.”
“What began in 2017 with Tatuus and ATM reaches today a new stage of growth and recognition thanks to the arrival of companies that embody the spirit with which this holding was created,” Delfino said. “With major investments in karting, we are now creating the only organisation in the world capable of building a bridge between karting and open- and closed-wheel racing.”
Roberto Ferraresi, CEO of The Equity Club, said the group’s creation was the product of a long-term vision dating back to TEC Racing’s acquisition of a majority stake in May 2023.
“Motorsport is entering a phase of major expansion,” he said. “By bringing together elite but highly specialised Italian companies, we’ve created a world-leading group built on expertise, mutual trust, and a shared passion for racing.”
Gianfranco De Bellis, appointed President of Korus Group, added that the collective structure reflects motorsport’s collaborative nature.
“Korus embodies the true essence of motorsport — the ability to deliver complete projects through deep engineering expertise and to support drivers through every stage of their development,” he said.
With the integration of world-renowned names from karting and car racing, Korus Group aims to position itself as the global benchmark for high-performance vehicle development.
It has also set out to strengthen Italy’s position at the heart of international motorsport.
