Marc Marquez was victorious in MotoGP's 2026 Aragon Grand Prix, taking home full points for his title defence.

Marquez faced a spirited challenge at the left-hander-dominated circuit, one of his MotoGP favourites - but ultimately took a relatively comfortable win.

The source of that challenge was a surprise, for it wasn't poleman Marco Bezzecchi but KTM rider Pedro Acosta, still chasing his first grand prix win.

Bezzecchi led off pole but was again lunged by Marquez at Turn 1. Marquez looked to have completed the move like on Saturday, but this time was very slow through Turns 2 and 3 with what looked like a stuck ride height device - allowing not just Bezzecchi back past, but Jorge Martin through as well.

But Marquez forced his way past Martin through the Turn 15 left-hander (with Acosta also sneaking through), then set about catching Bezzecchi back up.

He made his move at the same Turn 15 corner on lap six, then squeezing Bezzecchi to the inside of the track on the back straight - and as they braked into Turn 16, Bezzecchi didn't just yield to Marquez but lost second to a sudden round-the-outside dart from Acosta.

The KTM man, who will be Marquez's team-mate at Ducati next year, hounded Marquez over the next few laps, before a string of 1m46s laps from Marquez finished the fight.

He spent the rest of the race managing his advantage over Acosta, which was ultimately in little doubt despite a couple of minor mistakes from Marquez.

Bezzecchi completed the podium, followed by Alex Marquez and championship leader Martin. Martin, thus, leaves Aragon with 19 points in hand over Marquez - and 24 over Bezzecchi.

Ducati riders Fermin Aldeguer and Fabio Di Giannantonio rounded out the top seven, Aldeguer having worked his way past Di Giannantonio. The other two Ducati men, Pecco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli, exited the grand prix in early crashes from the top 10.

Diogo Moreira kept a train of riders behind his LCR-run Honda for most of the grand prix, ultimately settling for ninth as he yielded to Enea Bastianini on the final lap.

Jack Miller was the top Yamaha runner again, in 11th, just behind KTM's Brad Binder. Miller's Pramac team-mate Toprak Razgatlioglu was the third rider to crash out of the race.

The only other DNF was that of Trackhouse Aprilia's Raul Fernandez, who had an apparent gearbox failure early on.
